COPAM carry out their productive mission following the modern trends of the specialized market, with regard to technology and modern management practices.

State-of-the-art production equipment and laboratories, added to the modern quality control system, form an ideal set for the search of perfection.

TECHNOLOGIES

The CNC Oscillating Knife Cutting system is a kind of digital cutting system with CNC (Computer Number Controlled) which is used for high-precision cutting of flexible and semi-rigid materials.

Molding of parts using a blanket of natural fiber from a renewable source, biodegradable, the blankets of natural fibers have gained space in several production processes due to the benefits, such as: performance gains, cost reduction in the production process, and a better safety procedure for the handlers.

Molding of parts using polypropylene plates, with wood from a renewable source.

Cutting and sewing process of gear box lever hood, handbrake lever hood, truck curtains, etc

Cutting and creasing is the general process of using a knife to shear blankets of low resistance materials, such as rubber, fiber, foil, fabric, paper, corrugated cardboard, chipboard, paperboard, plastic, pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, foam, and metal sheet.

It consists in providing the edges finishing process by using automated devices for a perfect ferrule finish, in automotive finishing parts.

Robotic application of hot-melt glue expanded with nitrogen, creating a glue foam, reducing weight and increasing the adhesion process.

Radio frequency welding, also known like dielectric welding and high frequency welding, is a plastic welding process that uses high-frequency electric fields to induce heating and melting of basic thermoplastic materials. After fixing the parts to be processed, a pair of electrodes diffuses an electric field. Keep the clamping until the joint is steady. The advantages of this process are the fast cycle times (some few seconds), automation, repeatability, and good weld appearance. Only plastics that contain dipoles can be welded using radio frequency waves. Therefore, not always all type of plastics can be welded by using this process. In addition, this process is not well suitable for thick materials or excessive complex joints. The most common use of this process is car door trim and sun visor.

Poliuretane (PUR), is a thermo-hardened plastic material which is produced by a carefully calculated chemical reaction process, in which two liquids are mixed and injected into a mold. The materials react in the mold and take the desired shape.

integral skin foam

  • Integral skin is a microcellular core with an abrasion-resistant outer surface.
The Integral skin foams delivered in a wide range of molded densities, are the best solution for a broad variety of applications requiring a touch and feeling of softness, and always provide a highly durable finish.

In-Mold Coating

  • Painting made directly in the mold and transferred directly into the part injected in polyurethane.
Currently, the production of the following components: instrument panels, door panels, steering wheels, airbag covers, armrests, auxiliary handles, head restraints and seat covers are using this technology.

Molded Foam

  • Expanded foam molding process through direct injection: is a foam manufacturing procedure that creates the soft foam products direct from the compound into the final product. This procedure eliminates the steps required for the die-cutting and compression molding, as it manufactures the foam and the final product simultaneously.

A robotic de-burring is a process to remove material, De-burr, edge-breaking, surface finishing, of much more than from one part.

The ultrasonic welding is an industrial technique in which high frequency ultrasonic acoustic vibrations operate directly to the parts to hold together under pressure in order to create a solid-state weld. This procedure is ideal to weld plastics and metals, as well as materials of different species. In ultrasonic welding, there are no need for connective screws, nails, welding materials, or adhesives to hold the materials together. When applied to metals, a notable characteristic of this method is that the temperature remains well below the melting point of the involved materials thus preventing any unwanted properties that may arise of the materials exposure to high temperature.

: is a simplified version of parts thermoforming, where a sheet of plastic is heated to a forming temperature, stretched into a single-surface mold, and pressed by the vacuum against the mold.

High pressure water jet cutting through robots, providing a perfect cut in the hard-to-reach regions, this is a cold procedure that eliminates deformations for the slag and waste.

We can support our customers with relation to new materials research, new products development, as well as processes and tooling. We, therefore, are in a position to offer a complete solution to our customers.

We are able to carry out and plan tests for product validations, materials developed for the automotive industry, simulating conditions of use in climatic chambers, among other similarities.
