Who are we?

COPAM started their activities as a factory of furniture, with their headquarters located in the city of Santo André, São Paulo, producing wooden
furniture for sound systems, TV, and rack for sewing machines.

Starting July 17, 1966, the company’s corporate name was changed, and they have started to manufacture parts in wood and cardboard for Volkswagen do Brasil.

During the 70 decade, COPAM started supplying to the main automakers in Brazil, manufacturing wood fiber products and sunshades.

In the 80 decade, at the Diadema unit, São Paulo, COPAM started to produce rigid polyurethane cabinets for computers, in a products diversification program.

In 1988, COPAM unified and transferred their headquarters and branch to the city of Ribeirão Pires, São Paulo,
into a Region of Environmental Preservation, on a real state of more than 74,000 square meters of extension, located close to the Serra do Mar Region, with an industrial constructed area totaling 6,033 square meters.

During the 90 decade, took place the first acquisition of the first Robot for the application of hot-melt glue to the doors seals of the Model S 10, from General Motors.

In the year 2000, COPAM started the production of molded coatings and package trays in Woodstock. In 2011, they have begun the development and the manufacturing process with natural fiber for doors’ coatings and side panels.

Since then, COPAM have not yet stopped investing in automation. Due to this fact, They are today fully adapted as to comply with the requirements of the new technologies of Industry 4.0.
